Dear Applicants,
We are so excited that you have chosen to interview at Duke Health! Duke is a wonderful place to train and Durham, North Carolina is a great place to live. It is a booming place for young professionals with lots of amazing restaurants, bars, trails, and museums. The city is also a short distance away from larger cities such as Charlotte, North Carolina, the DMV, as well as beautiful beaches, and mountains.
Our residents are proud to serve a diverse patient population here in the Durham community. Our Minority Housestaff Association (MHA) was founded in 2018 to foster a community of wellness for trainees that are underrepresented in medicine, promote professional development through mentorship and forums, assist in diversity recruitment efforts, and lead service initiatives in our local community. We hope that you will consider training at one of our many top-ranked programs and become part of our Duke and MHA family.
Sincerely,
The Duke MHA Executive Board
